Disciples Women

The purpose of Disciples Women is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ and to provide a channel through which women in the congregation and the regional Women's Ministries in the United States and Canada may be joined in fellowship and find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Disciples Women of Countryside have a general meeting on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall from September through May each year. The meeting consists of Bible study, business, a program quite often with guest speakers and then a meal.

Circle Meetings at Countryside consist of three groups that meet at different homes or at the church on the third Thursday of each month at 9:30 am. Groups participate in Bible study and refreshments are served.

Service day for the Disciples Women is on the second Thursday of each month at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. The women spend the morning on many projects such as sewing sleeping bags, making hygiene kits and preparing layettes. The completed projects are then sent to the Disciples Mission for distribution.

All women are invited to participate. If interested, please contact the church office, 913-262-1000 or csideoffice@csidechristian.org
